Burying the Alleluia 3/6/11

Father George Ortiz-Guzman, assisted by Deacon Fred Wood and the youth of
St. Augustine's, capture the last Alleluias of the season and bury them. It is the tradition, during the Season of Lent, that no alleluias or hosanas be said or sung until the celebration of the Easter Mass. During the closing hymn of the service, the Alleluias were caught, and sealed into a container, and then processed out to the garden, where they were buried.  These Alleluias will rest peacefully in garden, only to be resurrected on Easter.
