Priest – Father Dennie Eisele grew up in a Midwestern Christian home and at a young age felt the Lord calling him into Christian ministry as a pastor. He notes that he became quite inventive in ways of ignoring that call, as he wanted a career in medicine and serve the Lord in the hospital rather than in the church. He knew deep down that this was not the Lords’ first choice for his life and that disobedience ultimately has consequences. In spite of some ups and downs, he was able to pursue “his dream” and the Lord through His grace and mercy blessed him with a career in medicine. He discovered over time that disobedience has consequences. Due to advancing medical problems he was forced into early retirement. At least that is what he thought. In reality the Lord was giving him another chance to follow him and in spite of failing health he was able to finish seminary where he received a M.Div. and S.T.M. degree. He was subsequently ordained into the priesthood in the Old Catholic Church. He served as an associate priest at Grace Anglican Church (ACNA) in Carlsbad, formerly St. Annes and has an independent ministry at local senior residential facilities where he celebrates mass and administers the sacraments to the home-bound.
“I am very grateful to Bishop David Moyer for giving me the opportunity to serve as a priest in the Patrimony (Traditional Anglican Communion) at St. Augustine of Canterbury,” he said.
Fr. Dennie is married to Lesley, an RN presently working in the psychiatric nursing field. They have an adopted daughter and three granddaughters. Fr. Dennie has been active in amateur radio, licensed over fifty years ago with the call sign WA9MTP. He is a part of the radio communication network for foreign missions and the military. He is a former Eagle Scout and remains an advocate for scouting. He is an avid reader with a Christian library of several hundred volumes.
